Chip Off the Ol' Block

Livvi took a math assessment test last week that took a few hours and was broken up into four sessions. She got her score today and got a 2495 (104 points higher than when she took it at the beginning of the year. Here is what that score means:

She is "advanced" for 3rd grade

She is upper "on target" for 4th grade

She is mid "on target" for 5th grade

She is lower "on target" for 6th grade

"On target" means the student's score is where it needs to be on average for the grade listed. Apparently part of the reason the test took so long was because every time a student gets an answer correct, they add more difficult questions to the test, so as to better evaluate how they are developing. The score shows she is working hard and learning a lot. She is in the 95th percentile amongst grade-level peers. Though she is in 3rd grade, she just started 4th grade curriculum last week in math and language arts). Looks like Livvi is taking after her ol' dad (and mom, and grandmother, etc.). Congratulations, Livvi! Keep up the good work!
